Halloween costume question? (Old Gregg)?

There’s less than a week until Halloween, and I’m costume-less. In tribute to pretty much the best show ever, which has in the past year come to be my favorite (The Mighty Boosh!!!) I was thinking of going as Old Gregg.
So here’s my question: How could I make the seaweed hair he has? I couldn’t buy the wig online and I know for a fact that no stores (at least around here) carry one. I had thought of playing around with plastic shopping bags, like coloring strips of it green and brown and weaving them into my hair Old Gregg-style. Any ideas?

First off let me tell you that Old Gregg is one of the greatest characters ever. Now for the hair. You can use those police do not cross tape. Just go to a craft store and see if they have them in green. Or use paper streamers. Like they use to decorate at party’s. You can also use Easter grass. They sell wigs that look like that grass. It will be dark out, so you can get away with it. Here are two photos I found with people using the two hair styles I told you about.
